Overview:
We are currently recruiting four experienced Painter & Decorators to join our Property Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure steady, long-term work within the public sector, delivering high-quality refurbishment and maintenance works across a range of properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out internal and external painting and decorating tasks to a high professional standard.
- Prepare surfaces, including stripping, sanding, filling, and priming.
- Apply a variety of finishes including gloss, emulsion, and specialist coatings.
- Wallpapering skills preferred – hanging, matching, trimming, and finishing to a high standard.
- Work on domestic and commercial properties including void and occupied homes.
- Ensure all work meets specifications, safety requirements, and quality expectations.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment and adhere to health & safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with tenants, supervisors, and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator.
- Strong wallpapering ability (highly desirable).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full understanding of surface preparation and finishing techniques.
- Own tools preferred, but not essential depending on site provisions.
- Full UK driving licence beneficial but not mandatory depending on deployment.
