Painter & Decorator – Voids

Salary: £30,250 per annum
Location: Redhill and surrounding areas
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Vehicle: Company van provided
DBS: Basic DBS required

We are recruiting for an experienced Painter and Decorator to join an established housing provider’s Voids Team.
This permanent position involves completing painting and decorating work within empty social housing properties, ensuring homes are finished to a high standard and ready for new residents.
Key Responsibilities

• Complete internal painting and decorating within void properties
• Prepare walls, ceilings, woodwork and other surfaces
• Carry out wallpapering, painting and minor artex repairs
• Inspect properties and identify the work and materials required
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high-quality finish
• Record completed work using a handheld electronic device
• Work collaboratively with other trades and contractors
• Follow all relevant health and safety procedures

Requirements

• Relevant painting and decorating qualification or strong equivalent experience
• Previous social housing, voids or property maintenance experience
• Excellent preparation and finishing skills
• Good understanding of health and safety
• Ability to manage a varied workload independently
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to complete a Basic DBS check
