Part-Time Social Work Assistant – Area Services Grade: GR3

Key Responsibilities Casework
- Manage an allocated casework role as assigned by the Team Manager or social worker.
- Collect, accurately record, and critically analyse relevant information using management information systems.
- Take appropriate action to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
- Provide practical day-to-day support to children and their families as directed.
- Liaise and collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure services are joined-up and achieve optimal outcomes for children and young people.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
- Communicate effectively with a variety of audiences through written, verbal, and other communication methods.
- Take personal responsibility for professional development and reflective practice.
- Keep up-to-date with legislation, court rules, policies, procedures, and best practice.
- Attend team meetings and service reviews, contributing to the team’s outcomes.
- Support the Team Manager with additional duties as required.

- Level of Supervision: Work within established guidelines; work subject to regular review and scrutiny by supervisor.

- This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
- Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks will be undertaken.
