Job Description
Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a housing association in Nottinghamshire for a Payroll Officer to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will support the in operating payroll control accounts, to administer and maintain all of the Group’s payroll and pensions systems and records, as per statutory rules and regulations in an efficient and timely manner.

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a housing association in Nottinghamshire for a Payroll Officer to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will support the in operating payroll control accounts, to administer and maintain all of the Group’s payroll and pensions systems and records, as per statutory rules and regulations in an efficient and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain payroll and pensions systems, records and control accounts, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant processing.
- Reconcile payroll and pension accounts, investigate discrepancies, take corrective action, and ensure records remain accurate and up to date.
- Produce payroll data, statutory returns, financial reports and year-end documentation, supporting audits and statutory accounts as required.
- Handle complex payroll queries confidentially, support system and process improvements, maintain strong stakeholder relationships, and contribute to business transformation and wider team cover.
- Previous experience in a payroll and/or pensions admin role, with a strong understanding of payroll processes, statutory requirements and relevant legislations
- Experience in payroll/HR systems, with familiarity with iTrent being advantageous but not essential
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and numerical skills, including experience of reconciliations, payroll controls and identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage confidential information, meet strict deadlines and deal professionally with complex queries and a range of stakeholders.
