🌟 Personal Advisor – Supporting Young People Leaving Care

Location: Sefton
Contract: Initial 3 months, with possibility of extension
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people?
Do you believe every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, no matter their background?
If so, we’d love to hear from you!

We’re looking for a Personal Advisor to join our dedicated Children’s Social Care team, helping to safeguard and support young people who are preparing to leave, or have recently left, care. You’ll play a vital role in empowering care-experienced young people to achieve their potential, build independence, and move confidently into adulthood.

🌈 About the Role
As a Personal Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of our Leaving Care Service, providing consistent guidance, support, and advocacy for young people as they navigate life beyond care.
You will:
  • Provide practical advice and emotional support, helping young people with education, employment, housing, and well-being.
  • Take part in the assessment, preparation, and review of Pathway Plans, ensuring every young person’s voice is at the centre of their journey.
  • Co-ordinate services and opportunities, empowering young people to access what they need to thrive.
  • Support health and emotional well-being, helping young people access specialist services when needed.
  • Champion their aspirations and ambitions, encouraging confidence, independence, and self-belief.
  • Identify and report risks or safeguarding concerns in line with legislation and local procedures.
  • Work collaboratively across agencies — acting as part of the wider corporate parenting team committed to positive outcomes for every young person.
💬 About You We’re looking for someone who is:
  • Compassionate, resilient, and genuinely motivated to support young people.
  • Skilled at building trusting relationships and empowering others.
  • Organised, with strong communication and record-keeping skills.
  • A great team player who values partnership working across services and communities.
Experience in youth work, social care, or a related setting is desirable — but above all, we’re looking for someone with heart, commitment, and a belief in young people’s potential.

🌟 Why Join Us?
  • Be part of a passionate, supportive, and forward-thinking team.
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • The chance to make a real, lasting impact on young people’s futures.
  • Access to excellent staff benefits and wellbeing support.
✨ If you’re ready to help shape brighter futures for care-experienced young people — apply today and be part of the difference.
