Planning and Highway Legal Officer

Service Care Solutions are currently working alongside a local authority, based in Doncaster, which is seeking an experienced Planning and Highway Legal Officer to join their team.

This role pays a competitive rate of:
Umbrella Rate -  £50-£55 an hour depending on experience.
PAYE (Inc.Hol) - £44.50- £48.89 an hour depending on experience

This role is on a contract basis for 3 months but has potential to extend. 

Responsibilities as a Planning and Highway Legal Officer:

• To provide high quality and timely technical and professional advice on land and property matters to the Council, its officers and elected members.

• Able to handle high caseload in Planning and Highway from start to completion.
• Deliver training and contribute to continuous legal service improvement.

• Represent the Council in appeals, judicial reviews and statutory challenges.

About you as a Planning and Highway Legal Officer:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years PQE in Planning and Highway Law.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
