Service Care Legal are recruiting an experienced Locum Planning Lawyer to join a busy Local Authority legal team in Hertfordshire. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of one day per week onsite.
ROLE: Locum Planning Lawyer
LOCATION: Hertfordshire – Hybrid (1 day per week in the office)
CONTRACT: 3 months (potential to extend), 37 hours per week (part-time considered)
RATE: £50ph umbrella / £44.06ph PAYE inc. holiday pay / £39.32ph PAYE exc. holiday pay

- Advising on planning applications and development matters
- Drafting and negotiating Section 106 agreements
- Supporting large-scale housing and regeneration projects
- Providing advice on BNG, Green Belt, and major developments
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of CILEx
- Relevant planning practising certificate (or entitlement)
- Proven experience in local authority planning law, S106, and major developments
