Planning Lawyer

Service Care Solutions is delighted to be working in partnership with a well-regarded local authority, based in Oxford, which is looking to appoint an experienced Planning Lawyer to join its legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Planning Lawyer seeking a flexible role that can be undertaken on a fully remote basis, with the only requirement for attendance being at planning committee meetings approximately once per month.
 
Role: Planning Lawyer – Local Authority
Location: Oxford / Fully Remote
Umbrella Rate: £55 – £60 per hour
PAYE Inc. Rate: £47.96 - £52.30 per hour
 
Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing legal advice on a wide range of planning and development matters.
• Drafting and negotiating planning agreements, including Section 106 agreements.
• Advising on planning committee reports and attending committee meetings.

Key Requirements:

• Be a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with significant PQE in planning law, ideally within a local authority environment.
• Experience advising on Section 106 agreements and planning committees.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
