Service Care Solutions are currently working alongside a well-established Local Authority in Greater Manchester who are seeking an experienced Principal Property Lawyer to join their Legal Services team on a locum contract.

Principal Property Lawyer
Location: Manchester (Remote Working Available)
Contract: 3 Months Ongoing
Rate: £60.00 - £65.00 per hour Umbrella
PAYE (Inclusive of Holiday Pay): £52.95 - £57.16 per hour

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced property lawyer to take on a senior role within a supportive and collaborative legal team, managing a complex caseload of commercial and local authority property matters. The authority offers fully remote working, providing excellent flexibility for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities as a Principal Property Lawyer:

• Manage a complex caseload of commercial and residential and local authority property matters from instruction through to completion.
• Provide expert legal advice on a broad range of property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, licences, easements and development agreements.
• Draft, negotiate and review a variety of property-related legal documents.
• Advise senior officers, directors and elected members on legal risks and strategic property matters.

About you as a Principal Property Lawyer:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEX with a current practising certificate.
• Significant experience handling complex commercial and local authority property matters.
• Able to manage a busy caseload independently while providing strategic legal advice to senior stakeholders.
