🌟 Progression Coach – Supporting Young People Across County Durham
Contract: 3 months initially (possibility of extension)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: County Durham (travel required across the area)

We’re looking for a motivated and empathetic Progression Coach to join our Education and Skills team, working with young people aged 16–24 who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) — helping them explore their options and move forward into education, training, or work.

🔑 What you’ll do
- Manage a caseload of young people aged 16–24 who are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET.
- Provide one-to-one and group support to raise aspirations, build confidence, and remove barriers to progression.
- Work collaboratively with schools, colleges, training providers, employers, and local agencies.
- Deliver practical advice and guidance — including employability skills, applications, and interview preparation.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and outcomes.
- A Level 2 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance, Youth Work, or a related subject.
- Experience working with vulnerable or NEET young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to travel throughout County Durham to meet young people and attend meetings.
