Join a leading Housing Association based in Ashford as a Property Officer, providing professional support and ensuring high standards of service for property information, local land charge enquiries, and data management across the borough. THE ROLE
As a Property Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting property and land-related processes, maintaining accurate data records, and delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll be part of a flexible and collaborative team, helping to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Research, validate and process Local Land Charges and property information enquiries.
  • Liaise with solicitors, professionals, and members of the public to provide accurate information and advice.
  • Maintain and update property, land, and address records using GIS and other digital systems.
  • Administer street naming and numbering in line with council policy.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, local land charge legislation, and council standards.
  • Support the wider team with administrative tasks, data management, and customer service.
  • Contribute to ongoing digital transformation and improved working practices.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role, ideally within local government, housing, or property information services. You’ll be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and confident working with databases and mapping systems.
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience in a property, housing, or land information-based role.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and bespoke database systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work methodically, accurately, and to deadlines.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach with a focus on problem-solving.
THE CONTRACT
Working Hours: 30-35 hours per week (must include Tuesday, flexible pattern available)
Length of Contract: 12-Month Temporary Assignment
Pay Rate: £16.91 per hour LTD or £14.51 per hour PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay)
Location: Ashford – hybrid working available once trained HOW TO APPLY
