Prosecutions and Litigation Lawyer

Service Care Solutions is working in partnership with a growing local authority, based in Berkshire, which is looking to recruit an experienced Prosecution and Litigation Lawyer to join its Legal Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified lawyer with experience in civil and/or criminal litigation, looking to take on a varied local authority caseload.
 
Role: Prosecution and Litigation Lawyer
Location: Berkshire
Contract Length: 6 months ongoing
Umbrella Rate: £55 - £60ph
PAYE Inc. Rate: £47.96 - £52.30ph
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Progress a range of prosecution and litigation matters, including attending court as required.
• Conducting prosecutions and litigation through to conclusion.
• Advocacy in the Magistrates' and/or County Court.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive (in England & Wales) with experience in civil and/or criminal litigation.
• Experience of prosecution work and court advocacy.
• Advocacy experience in the Magistrates' and/or County Court.
• Experience of working within a local authority environment is desirable but not essential.

Benefits:

• Hybrid working - there will be a need to attend the office and court as needed (usually Reading).
• Weekly pay – the rate offered will depend on experience and interview performance.
