We are currently seeking a fully qualified and experienced Electrician to join our Repairs & Maintenance team. You will be responsible for carrying out a full range of electrical repairs and installations within residential properties, including both responsive repairs and planned works, ensuring a high standard of workmanship and excellent customer service.
This is a hands-on role working in tenants' homes and client premises, both internally and externally. You’ll also be expected to have additional skills across other trades and a flexible approach to multi-trade work. What You’ll Be Doing:

- Carrying out electrical repairs, installations, and maintenance across housing stock.
- Supporting the delivery of responsive repairs, planned works, and void property refurbishments.
- Working to strict deadlines and budgets, escalating variations to supervisors when needed.
- Interpreting construction drawings and specifications effectively.
- Ensuring all works comply with relevant building regulations and health & safety standards.
- Recording works in real time using PDA devices.
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining professional communication at all times.
- Supervising and mentoring apprentices as required, including reporting on their progress.
- Operating a company van in line with the council’s vehicle policy.
- Proven experience in social housing repairs and maintenance (SH experience essential).
- Strong understanding of current building regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Confidence using digital work management systems (PDAs).
- A team player with a commitment to high-quality workmanship and safety.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- JIB Gold Card (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
