Quantity Surveyor

A client within the Public Sector based in County is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Airport Redevelopment Team as soon as possible. This is a full-time temporary role, ideally suited to someone with experience in commercial or infrastructure projects and a strong focus on customer experience. Experience within aviation would be advantageous but is not essential.

The Role
Key purpose of the role:
To lead cost planning and commercial management in support of a major regional airport refurbishment project, focusing on improving the passenger experience and enhancing commercial opportunities throughout the terminal space.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Providing detailed cost analysis and lifecycle costing for terminal redesign, including passenger flow optimisation
• Leading cost planning, value engineering and commercial management activities across refurbishment phases
• Supporting design and implementation of modern, customer-focused toilet facilities aligned with budget and airport standards
• Preparing tender documentation, overseeing procurement processes and evaluating contractor bids
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, airport operational teams and private sector partners to ensure cost-efficient delivery
• Monitoring budgets, forecasting expenditures, and managing variations and risks

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• Proven experience in cost planning, procurement and contract administration
• Qualification such as RICS or equivalent (newly qualified candidates will be considered)
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Experience in infrastructure or commercial refurbishment projects (aviation experience ideal but not essential)
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including collaboration with private sector organisations
• Understanding of customer journey optimisation and commercial exposure within public environments

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £300 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £225 per day PAYE).
