The Role – Key Responsibilities
As a Recovery Worker, you will deliver structured, person-centred support from initial engagement through to recovery and discharge. Your duties will include:
- Completing comprehensive assessments for service users
- Supporting individuals throughout the full recovery pathway
- Undertaking screenings and developing tailored Recovery Plans
- Delivering 1:1 interventions based on individual needs
- Managing a caseload using effective key-working approaches
- Developing and reviewing Care Plans alongside multi-disciplinary teams
- Providing health and wellbeing support related to substance misuse
- Promoting motivation, harm reduction, and long-term recovery strategies
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience within the Substance Misuse or Recovery field
- Strong understanding of drug and alcohol-related issues
- Experience in key working, care planning, and caseload management
- Ability to engage individuals with complex needs
- Excellent communication and motivational skills
