What we’re looking for We are seeking someone who is:
- Patient, positive, and naturally motivational
- An experienced leader with at least 2 years under Ofsted regulations and 3 years in a leadership role
- Qualified with the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Committed to trauma-informed practice and therapeutic caregiving
- Skilled in leading, supporting, and developing teams
- A confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
- A driver with a full UK driving licence
- Hold responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home and maintain Ofsted registration
- Lead and inspire your team to deliver high-quality, child-centred care
- Create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel valued, supported, and heard
- Oversee referrals, matching processes, and individual care planning
- Ensure the home operates within legislative and regulatory frameworks
- Chair meetings, reviews, and discussions as required
- Take responsibility for safeguarding, compliance, and quality standards
- Manage budgets and ensure effective administrative processes
- Recruit, supervise, and develop staff, fostering a cohesive and motivated team
- Be part of the on-call rota, offering flexible and responsive leadership
