About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to take the lead in a brand-new children’s home based in Leyland. This is a rare chance to join from the very beginning — shaping the culture, direction, and success of a new service designed to provide outstanding care and support for children and young people.
You’ll be supported by a strong and forward-thinking senior leadership team who are committed to delivering high-quality residential care. The home will initially provide care for 2–3 children, offering a stable, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where young people can truly thrive.

Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and all relevant regulations.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a team of residential staff to deliver exceptional standards of care.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, external professionals, and the wider community.
- Ensure the home operates in line with the organisation’s vision, values, and safeguarding standards.
- Drive continuous improvement to achieve and maintain “Good” and “Outstanding” Ofsted ratings.
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children’s residential setting.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a new team.
- In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations and quality standards.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
- A genuine passion for improving the lives of young people.
