Candidate Responsibilities for the Registered Manager Role:
- Take full accountability for the home's operations and regulatory compliance
- Lead, support, and develop a team of residential staff to deliver person-centred care
- Ensure care plans are tailored to individual needs, fostering positive outcomes and growth
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and professional practice
- Prepare and manage budgets efficiently, optimising resources for young people's benefit
- Build and sustain excellent relationships with local authorities, social workers, and external professionals
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the home maintains a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (NVQ Level 5) – essential
- Proven experience within a children’s EBD residential setting, ideally as a Registered Manager or senior leadership role
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards
- Deep understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- A child-centred approach with excellent motivational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
