Registered Manager – Children’s Short Breaks

Location: Devizes, Wiltshire
Contract: initially 3 months
Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay: £453.42/day (umbrella) | £359/day (PAYE)

About the Role:
Wiltshire Council is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead our short break care service for children and young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), complex health needs, and behaviours that may be challenging.

You will oversee the delivery of safe, high-quality care, ensuring that children aged 5–17 experience stability, a sense of belonging, and positive physical, emotional, and mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the short break service.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, care planning, and CQC standards.
• Support and lead a team of care staff to deliver high-quality care.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on children’s care and development.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and partner agencies.

What We’re Looking For:

• Registered Manager experience in children’s residential or short break services.
• Knowledge of caring for children with learning disabilities and complex needs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and safeguarding skills.
• Commitment to promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.
