We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to oversee and lead a specialist 3-bed Children’s Residential Home focused on learning disabilities. If you possess the skills, compassion, and leadership qualities needed to create a safe, nurturing environment, this is the perfect role for you.

About the Role: Registered Manager

As the Registered Manager for this children’s residential home, you will be legally accountable to Ofsted, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements and maintaining the highest standards of care. In this role, you will provide strategic oversight and lead a highly qualified team to deliver therapeutic, child-centred care in a sensory-aware setting. Your leadership will influence every aspect of the children’s lives, empowering them to develop independence, life skills, and fostering their emotional and social wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Manager include:

  • Leading and inspiring a dedicated team of professionals through recruitment, supervision, and ongoing staff development.
  • Ensuring children’s safety and emotional wellbeing while implementing personalised care plans, risk assessments, and behavioural support strategies.
  • Advocating for children’s voices and promoting their independence, life skills, and full potential.
  • Building strong relationships with multidisciplinary teams, external agencies, and families to provide a cohesive service.
  • Maintaining compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Regularly auditing practice, reviewing KPIs, and implementing research-informed care approaches to guarantee service excellence.
Candidate Responsibilities and Skills

The ideal Registered Manager will have:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Proven management experience within a children’s residential setting.
  • Experience working with children with learning disabilities or complex needs.
  • Inspirational leadership abilities and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, with proficiency in safeguarding, care standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • A full driving license and the ability to manage the demands of residential care.
