Staffordshire Council are seeking an exceptional Registered Manager to lead one of their Children’s Residential Homes, providing high-quality, therapeutic care and ensuring every young person has the opportunity to thrive.
About the Role As Registered Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of a residential home supporting children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs. You’ll lead a committed team, promote a nurturing and safe environment, and ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a skilled team to deliver outstanding care and support.
- Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards.
- Oversee care planning, placement stability and outcomes for young people.
- Manage budgets, staffing, and performance effectively.
- Promote a culture of reflection, respect and continuous improvement.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Proven experience managing or deputising in a children’s residential setting.
- Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks and safeguarding legislation.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine commitment to improving young people’s lives.
