Salary: Up to £60,000 ( Dependant on experience)

Are you an experienced leader passionate about delivering exceptional care for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)? We are working with a nationwide care group specialising in supporting children and young people in the community and are looking for a Registered Manager to establish and lead a new Ofsted-regulated service, ensuring the highest standards of care and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a fully compliant Ofsted-registered children’s home, promoting a culture of high performance and person-centred care.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and quality standards are met at all times.
  • Inspire, coach, and develop a skilled workforce, fostering staff engagement and professional growth.
  • Manage financial viability, business development, and service marketing to drive success.
  • Maintain excellent communication with internal teams, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Participate in the managers’ out-of-hours on-call rota.
  • Continuously promote innovation and improvement, aiming for ‘Good’ or Outstanding Ofsted ratings.
About You
  • Ofsted registration or ability to register as a manager for a new service.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in residential childcare within the last 5 years.
  • At least 1 year managing or supervising staff in a care setting.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Integrity, resilience, and professionalism with a passion for excellent childcare.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and financial management experience.
