Remote Occupational Therapist - Band 6

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for a flexible, remote working opportunity within Adult Social Care services? Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for 2 Remote Occupational Therapists to support Cornwall Council on a 12-week contract basis. Job Title: Remote Occupational Therapist
Location: Countywide / Remote
Contract Length: 12 weeks (with potential extension)
Hours: Full time or Part-Time (hours to be confirmed)
Pay Rate:

  • PAYE: £21.57 per hour
  • Umbrella: £27.62 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
As a Remote Occupational Therapist, your primary duties will include:

  • Screening incoming referrals requiring Occupational Therapy input
  • Completing initial assessments of referrals in a proportionate manner
  • Gathering relevant information and identifying potential risks
  • Determining the most appropriate intervention pathway and level of support
  • Prioritising cases to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Providing advice, guidance, signposting, and early intervention support
  • Promoting preventative approaches to delay or reduce the need for ongoing services
  • Supporting timely, appropriate outcomes for individuals using Adult Social Care services
Candidate Responsibilities:
The successful Remote Occupational Therapist will need to demonstrate:

  • Degree or recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Current HCPC registration
  • 2-3 years' experience at Band 6 level, preferably within Physical Health or Adult Social Care
  • Strong assessment, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, fast-paced environment
