Repairs & Maintenance Team Leader

Are you an experienced Repairs & Maintenance professional ready to take the next step into leadership? We’re working with a leading housing provider in the North East who are seeking a skilled Repairs & Maintenance Team Leader to join their property services division.

You’ll be leading a team delivering responsive repairs, maintenance, and small building projects across a large and varied property portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to shape service delivery, support team development, and drive performance across multiple trades.


Key Responsibilities
 

• Lead and support a multi-skilled team delivering repairs and maintenance works.
• Manage internal operatives and external contractors to ensure high-quality results.
• Oversee health and safety compliance and ensure work meets all legislative standards.
• Drive performance, ensuring KPIs and service standards are achieved.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the maintenance service.

About You
 

• A solid background in building maintenance, construction, or a related trade.
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience.
• A sound understanding of building regulations, construction methods, and damp/mould management.
• Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a building trade).
• Up-to-date H&S certifications (CDM, Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness, COSHH, etc.).
• A full UK driving licence.
