About the Role

You will work as part of a team to create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children in their daily routines, promoting independence and wellbeing
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children at all times
- Support emotional, behavioural, and social development
- Follow care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare / Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Registered and subscribed to the DBS Update Service
- Knowledge of good practice in residential childcare settings
- Experience working with children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- 7:00am – 3:00pm
- 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- Alternate weekend working required

- Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally
