Location: Rivercourt, Hammersmith (with work across both sites)
Contract: Initial 3-month placement | 36 hours per week | Includes sleep-ins
Rate: £20 per hour (Umbrella) / £15 per hour (PAYE)

About the Role Hammersmith & Fulham Council is seeking compassionate and reliable Residential Support Workers to join our dedicated team based at Rivercourt in Hammersmith. You’ll play a vital role in providing person-centred, outcome-focused care and support to residents with a range of needs including Learning Disabilities, Autism, Physical Disabilities, and Mental Health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents.
  • Act as a key worker for a number of identified residents, ensuring their individual support plans are implemented and regularly reviewed.
  • Plan, source materials, and facilitate therapeutic group activities—both within the home and in the community—promoting daily living and social skills.
  • Provide physical and personal care support, including assistance for individuals with Dysphagia, ensuring safe support with food and drink.
  • Contribute positively to the running of the home, maintaining compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
  • Support residents to build confidence and promote independence through everyday activities.
  • Assist with cleaning, cooking, and household tasks, and report maintenance or repairs as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development.
Requirements 
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a support work or residential care role.
Up-to-date training in the following:
  • First Aid
  • Fire Safety
  • Food Hygiene
  • Moving & Handling
  • Medication Administration
Personal Qualities
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable and flexible, with a commitment to delivering excellent support.
  • Able to work shifts including sleep-ins.
