Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home (Liverpool)
We are seeking an experienced Residential Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Liverpool. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) offered on an initial 3-month contract with the possibility of extension. It’s an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.

About the Role
- Based in a GOOD Ofsted-rated children’s home in Liverpool
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people
- Support their day-to-day needs, including education, health, wellbeing, and social development
- Build positive, trusting relationships to help young people process their life experiences and develop aspirations for the future
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to ensure safeguarding and best outcomes
- Contribute to the smooth running of the home, following policies and procedures
- Direct experience of working in a residential children’s home setting
- Strong skills in direct work with children and young people
- Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People / Residential Care / Social Care (or equivalent)
- Current enhanced DBS check
- Ability to work flexible hours on a 3-week rotating shift pattern (including weekends, evenings, sleep-ins, and waking nights)
- Monday – Friday:
- 7:30am – 3:00pm
- 2:30pm – 10:00pm
- Sleep-in: 11:00pm – 7:00am
- Waking night: 9:30pm – 8:00am
- Weekends:
- 7:45am – 10:00pm
- Sleep-in: 11:00pm – 7:30am
- Waking night: 9:30pm – 8:00am
- A full-time contract (35 hours per week) for an initial period of 3 months with the possibility of extension
