Location: Force Headquarters, Dorset Innovation Park, Winfrith Newburgh, DT2 8DZ
Contract: 6 month contract with potential extension
Pay Rate: £12.55 PAYE per hour / £16.45 Umbrella per hour 
Start Date: ASAP (subject to vetting)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Resourcing Administrator to join the busy Resourcing and Workforce Planning team, supporting both Dorset Police and Devon & Cornwall Police.

This is a varied and rewarding administrative role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring an efficient and professional recruitment and selection process. Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, you’ll provide exceptional service to candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all recruitment-related enquiries, providing timely and professional advice via phone, email, Microsoft Teams, or in person.

  • Support the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, coordinating shortlisting and interviews, preparing offer letters, and ensuring compliance with policies and data protection standards.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across electronic and paper-based systems.

  • Provide data and reports to support recruitment monitoring and workforce planning.

  • Assist with pre-employment checks, including biometric and drug testing, conducted with professionalism and accuracy.

  • Represent Dorset Police at career fairs and recruitment events, engaging positively with potential candidates and promoting the Force as an employer of choice.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in HR, Vetting, Occupational Health, Finance, and Learning & Development to ensure a seamless recruitment service.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.

  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines and resolve queries.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn bespoke IT systems.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Commitment to delivering a customer-focused service.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
