Roofer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Operative with roofing experience to join the Property Maintenance and Construction team of a leading housing provider in the North East. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in roofing, construction or property maintenance who is comfortable working at height and looking for a secure, long-term position with excellent benefits.


The Role

Working as part of an established repairs and maintenance team, you will support skilled tradespeople in carrying out roofing, maintenance and construction work across a mixture of domestic and commercial properties.

Your day-to-day duties will include:
 

• Assisting Roofers and other trades with repairs, maintenance and construction works
• Supporting roofing works and safely working at height
• Carrying out general labouring and multi-skilled maintenance duties
• Preparing work areas, materials, tools and equipment
• Completing work within occupied and empty residential properties
• Working from construction drawings and job specifications where required
• Following risk assessments, safe working procedures and site requirements

What We're Looking For
 

• Previous experience within roofing, construction, repairs or property maintenance
• Experience working safely at height
• Experience working within domestic and/or commercial properties
• A valid CSCS card appropriate to the role
• A good understanding of health & safety and risk assessments
