Do you take pride in keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for a dependable, practical, and friendly Caretaker to be the backbone of our school site. From fixing a leaky tap to making sure the playground is safe, you’ll play a vital role in creating a secure and welcoming environment for our pupils and staff.

What the role involves:

• Being the first to unlock the gates in the morning and the last to lock up at night.
  
  
• Keeping our buildings and grounds clean, tidy, and safe.
  
  
• Carrying out small repairs and maintenance jobs – a real “can-do” attitude is a must.
  
  
• Supervising cleaners and ensuring high standards are maintained.
  
  
• Taking responsibility for health & safety checks around the site.
  
  
• Welcoming contractors and making sure any work is done safely.
  
  
• Helping set up halls, classrooms, or outdoor areas for school events.
  
  

About you:

• You’re practical and good at solving problems.
  
  
• You don’t need to be a trained tradesperson, but you should be handy with tools.
  
  
• You’re reliable, organised, and take pride in your work.
  
  
• You can work on your own initiative but are also a team player.
  
  
• You’re friendly and approachable – the kind of person children and staff feel comfortable asking for help.
