Senior Childcare Solicitor

Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for a Senior Childcare Lawyer to join a well-regarded Local Authority legal team based in Greater Manchester.

This role is on a Hybrid basis and is for a 3 month contract with potential to extend.

The role is offering a competitive hourly rate off:
Umbrella rate - £50-£55 per hour
PAYE (Inc Hol) - £44.50 -£48.89per hour

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced childcare lawyer to take on a senior-level caseload while supporting the wider team on complex public law children matters.

Responsibilities as a Senior Childcare Lawyer:

• Prepare and review legal documentation including applications, statements, and court bundles.
• Attend case conferences, legal planning meetings, and strategy meetings.
• Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and associated statutory guidance.

 
About you as a Senior Childcare Lawyer:

• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.
• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or FCILEx with significant experience in Childcare law.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
