Senior Childcare Solicitor

Service Care Solutions is working with a bustling local authority, based in Staffordshire, which is seeking an experienced Senior Childcare Solicitor to join their legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior legal professional with a strong background in public childcare law, to support a busy and collaborative local government legal service.
 
Role: Senior Childcare Solicitor
Location: Staffordshire
Umbrella Rate: £400–£500 per day
PAY Inc. Rate: £351 - £435 per day
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing
 
Key Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of complex public childcare law.
• Advising children’s services and internal stakeholders on safeguarding and care proceedings.
• Representing the authority at hearings and case conferences where required.
• Supporting the wider legal team with specialist childcare expertise.

Requirements

• 5 years of PQE in Childcare law as a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive in England and Wales.
• Strong specialist experience in Public Childcare law within a local authority.
• Proven ability to manage complex care proceedings and provide strategic legal advice.

Our client offers flexible working arrangements and is open to discussing different working patterns. While remote working can be accommodated, candidates who are able to attend court hearings in Stoke and Stafford when required would be particularly welcomed.
