Senior Childcare Solicitor

Service Care Solutions is proud to be working with a well-regarded Local Authority, based in Norfolk, which is looking for an experienced Senior Childcare Solicitor to join their busy Legal Services team on a locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced childcare lawyer to take on a varied and challenging caseload within a supportive local authority.
 
Role: Senior Childcare Solicitor
Location: Norfolk – hybrid/remote
Umbrella Rate: £60 - £65ph
PAYE Inc. Rate: £52.30 - £56.65ph
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a high-volume caseload of complex child protection matters.
• Advising Children's Services on all aspects of public law childcare.
• Conducting advocacy where appropriate or instructing counsel.

Candidate Requirements:

• Be a qualified Solicitor with significant experience in public childcare and child protection law.
• Have extensive experience independently managing a complex childcare caseload from pre-proceedings through to final hearings.
• Be confident advising on the full range of child protection matters with minimal supervision.

Benefits:

• Hybrid working - Court work / office attendance would be ideal but not mandated.
• Weekly pay – the rate offered will depend on experience and interview performance.
