About the Role
Haringey Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Early Years Officer to support the operational and day-to-day management of childcare provision within our Children’s Centres.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Early Years professional to play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality early education and childcare, ensuring inclusive, reflective, and outstanding practice in line with EYFS requirements.

About the Role
Haringey Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Early Years Officer to support the operational and day-to-day management of childcare provision within our Children’s Centres.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Early Years professional to play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality early education and childcare, ensuring inclusive, reflective, and outstanding practice in line with EYFS requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the operational management of the Early Years provision
- Lead on high-quality EYFS curriculum planning and delivery
- Support children with SEND, including involvement in assessments and EHCP planning
- Contribute to safeguarding, child protection, and welfare procedures
- Monitor, assess and review children’s development and progress
- Support and supervise staff, including mentoring and training delivery
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals
- Contribute to Ofsted readiness and inspection processes
- Support student placements and partnership working with training providers
- Promote parental engagement and inclusive practice
- A recognised Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of EYFS, SEND and child development
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
- Experience within an integrated Early Years setting
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Experience supporting or supervising staff
- Understanding of Ofsted standards and inspections
- Good IT skills and report writing ability
