About the Role As a Senior Family Support Worker, you’ll use your professional expertise to:
- Deliver evidence-based interventions that safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
- Lead on assessments, creating and coordinating multi-agency support plans.
- Act as lead professional for a varied caseload, ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
- Chair case planning and review meetings, providing high-quality advice and guidance.
- Champion a specialist area (e.g. domestic abuse, substance misuse, parenting, or disability), sharing knowledge and delivering workshops to colleagues.
- Work in partnership with statutory and non-statutory agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- GCSE education plus an NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in a related field.
- Experience of working directly with children, young people, and families, delivering evidence-based support.
- Strong skills in assessing needs, creating support plans, and managing complex caseloads.
- The ability to chair meetings, analyse information, and work collaboratively with partners.
- A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and excellent customer care.
- Willingness to work flexibly, including some out-of-hours work, and undertake relevant training.
