In this rewarding role, you’ll use your professional knowledge and skills to deliver evidence-based interventions and coordinate early help support plans for children, young people, and their families. You’ll work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, promoting positive change and improving outcomes across the city.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Lead Professional for an allocated caseload of children and families, coordinating multi-agency support plans.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions that promote positive change and safeguard children and young people.
- Complete comprehensive assessments to identify needs, inform interventions, and achieve meaningful outcomes.
- Chair meetings, manage a complex workload, and maintain high-quality case recording using the Trust’s database systems.
- Champion a specialist practice area such as domestic abuse, substance misuse, disability, or parenting—delivering training and sharing best practice with colleagues.
- Work within the Right Help, Right Time framework, ensuring safeguarding and escalation procedures are followed.
- Provide leadership and oversight for Family Support Workers (GR3) delivering single-agency support.
- Participate in supervision, training, and service development to continually improve practice and performance.
- NVQ Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
- Experience delivering evidence-based interventions with children, young people, and their families.
- Strong skills in assessment, planning, and coordination of support services.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with statutory and non-statutory partners.
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload.

- This role involves working outside normal office hours when required.
- The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
