Salary: £25,526- £30,900
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a leading housing provider who is seeking a Senior Intensive Housing Management Worker to join their Care and Support department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing or support professional with strong leadership skills to step into a senior role, overseeing a small team and ensuring the safe and effective management of supported housing services.
The Role
You will be responsible for coordinating and line managing a team of Intensive Housing Management Workers (including night staff and bank workers) at a busy supported housing project. Working closely with the Team Leader, you will ensure high standards of service delivery, effective rota management, and compliance with health and safety.
Your work will include:
  • Line managing and supporting a team of housing management staff.
  • Overseeing rotas to ensure safe staffing levels at all times.
  • Supporting residents to sustain their tenancies, including advice on repairs, complaints, financial planning and accessing wider services.
  • Managing tenancy/licence conditions and addressing breaches such as arrears or anti-social behaviour.
  • Carrying out health and safety checks, facilities management tasks and reporting repairs.
  • Ensuring the safety, security and cleanliness of the project.
  • Completing incident and safeguarding reports and liaising with internal/external partners.
  • Building relationships with external agencies including local authorities, police, health services and other housing/support providers.
  • Occasionally holding a small caseload of residents where required.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
  • Experience in a housing, care or support role.
  • Experience in leading or coordinating a team.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding processes.
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, residents, and partner agencies.
  • Good organisational, IT and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to respond to emergencies and support service users effectively.
Desirable: NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards this), experience in facilities management or health and safety.
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS Check
  • Full driving licence with business insurance
This is a rewarding role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping vulnerable people sustain their tenancies while leading a team to deliver high-quality housing management services.
