This is a fast-paced role where you’ll be expected to hit the ground running, working collaboratively with senior stakeholders across the GLA group, including TfL, MOPAC and OPDC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver clear, measurable internal communications and engagement plans for both business-as-usual activity and change programmes.

  • Provide expert advice and recommendations on internal communications to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Write, edit and produce high-quality content for a range of channels, including intranet, newsletters, leadership messages and staff briefings.

  • Deliver and support internal events such as conferences, workshops, and staff briefings.

  • Measure the effectiveness of internal communication activities and channels, identifying improvements where needed.

  • Support intranet management, providing training and guidance to editors across the organisation.

  • Promote inclusion and diversity through engaging staff network communications and campaigns.

You’re comfortable managing multiple projects, building strong stakeholder relationships, and delivering impactful communications that help employees understand and embrace change.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Proven experience developing and delivering effective internal communications and engagement plans for both BAU and transformation/change initiatives.

  • Strong writing, editing and content development skills.

  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Skilled at translating complex information into clear, engaging content.

  • Experience delivering internal events and campaigns.

  • Knowledge of intranet best practice and content management systems (e.g. Drupal, SharePoint).

  • Confident using collaboration and project tools (e.g. Teams Live, SharePoint).

What You’ll Bring
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to communications.

  • The ability to work flexibly, adapting to organisational needs and priorities.

  • A passion for inclusive communication and championing diversity.

Why Join This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting organisational change across the GLA group. You’ll work on meaningful projects that help colleagues understand, engage with, and adopt new tools and ways of working that make a real difference for London.
