The Role
As a Senior Social Worker within the Children's Complex Health & Disabilities Team, you'll manage a varied and rewarding caseload involving children and young people with complex disabilities and additional health needs.
Working alongside families, education, health professionals and partner agencies, you'll provide expert assessment, intervention and long-term planning to achieve the very best outcomes for children.
You'll work across the full spectrum of statutory Children's Social Care, including Children in Need, Child Protection, Children in Care and safeguarding responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex cases involving children and young people with disabilities and significant health needs.
- Undertake statutory assessments, care planning and reviews.
- Provide support to Children in Need, Child Protection and Children in Care cases.
- Complete safeguarding investigations where required.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families and carers.
- Work collaboratively with health, education and multi-agency partners.
- Promote permanence, independence and positive life outcomes for children and young people.
- Deliver high-quality restorative and relationship-based social work practice.
We're seeking experienced practitioners who have:
- Experience working within UK Children's Social Care.
- Experience supporting children with disabilities and/or complex health needs.
- Sound knowledge of Children in Need, Child Protection and Children in Care processes.
- Strong assessment, safeguarding and care planning skills.
- A restorative, child-centred and relationship-based approach to practice.
- The confidence to manage complex and demanding caseloads.
- Qualified Social Worker (Degree or equivalent)
- Registered with Social Work England
- Post-qualifying experience within Children's Services
- Excellent communication and partnership working skills
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
- Salary between £38,220 - £46,142
- £3,000 Retention Payment
- Hybrid working with 3 office days per week
