THE ROLE
As a Sheltered Housing Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping individuals maintain their tenancies, develop life skills, and build resilience to lead independent lives.
Key responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar support role, ideally within housing, care, or community services.
We are looking for someone who:
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week – 9:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday
Length of Contract: Permanent
Rate: £25,254.00 per year, plus benefits

- Delivering tailored housing-related support to customers across Basildon and the surrounding area
- Supporting customers with maintaining tenancies and accessing essential services
- Providing pre-tenancy advice and guidance to new tenants
- Assisting customers in navigating welfare benefits and financial support
- Encouraging independence by helping individuals build skills and confidence
- Liaising with external agencies to ensure customers receive holistic support
- Offering crisis intervention with professionalism and empathy
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar support role, ideally within housing, care, or community services.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting individuals facing mental health, physical health, or employment challenges
- Understands housing support needs, tenancy sustainment, and welfare benefits
- Can communicate effectively and work independently across a patch-based service
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle
- Is willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check
