THE ROLE
As a Sheltered Housing Support Worker - Complex Needs, you will provide essential housing-related support and advocacy to individuals with multiple disadvantages, including rough sleepers and ex-rough sleepers. You will play a key role in helping residents access housing, health, and support services to achieve greater stability and independence.
Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering person-centred support within hostel and outreach settings
• Supporting individuals to access health services, treatment, and housing options
• Advising on welfare benefits, financial wellbeing, and tenancy rights
• Advocating for customers and ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making
• Building strong, trusting relationships with people who are traditionally hard to engage
• Liaising with partner agencies to provide holistic wraparound support
• Responding to safeguarding concerns with professionalism and care

THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a support role, ideally working with individuals with complex needs, trauma, or housing challenges.
We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with vulnerable people with multiple disadvantages
• Understands safeguarding, welfare benefits, and tenancy sustainment
• Can work confidently both independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrates strong communication skills with a non-judgmental approach
• Holds a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

THE CONTRACT
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week – 9:00 to 17:00, 13:00-21:00 Monday to Friday, weekends 10:00-18:00
Length of Contract: Permanent
Rate: £27,765 per year, plus benefits
