About the Role We are seeking a reliable, proactive and highly organised Site Supervisor to join our friendly primary school team. This is a key role responsible for ensuring our school premises are safe, secure, well-maintained and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.
The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards and will play an important part in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school.

The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards and will play an important part in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and closing the school site daily, including security checks
- Ensuring the safety, cleanliness and general upkeep of buildings and grounds
- Carrying out minor repairs, maintenance and DIY tasks
- Liaising with contractors and overseeing works on site
- Managing health and safety compliance, including risk assessments and record keeping
- Conducting regular site inspections and reporting issues
- Maintaining heating, lighting and alarm systems
- Supporting school events with room setup and site arrangements
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and statutory regulations
- Previous experience in site management, facilities, caretaking or a similar role
- Good practical maintenance skills
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures (e.g. COSHH, fire safety)
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Good communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude
