Job Title: Advanced Social Worker 

Location: southwark council 

Pay 33.76 LTD inclusive of holiday pay or 24.83 PAYE exclusibe of holiday pay 

Contract Type: 3 months 

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Social Worker (ASW) to join our team in London. As an ASW, you will be working in a multi-disciplinary setting, with a focus on strengths-based practice and promoting independence and recovery. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals with complex social needs, including those with varied health and social care needs.

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Complete Care Act assessments and devise care and support plans
• Conduct reviews and Mental Capacity Assessments, chairing Best Interests meetings as required
• Provide crisis intervention, signposting, and advice and information to service users and their families
• Work closely with individuals, including informal carers, to provide comprehensive support tailored to their needs
• Facilitate Best Interests meetings and deliver timely signposting to necessary community resources
• Complete initial fact finding and assess and minimise risk within the Safeguarding function
