You will:
- Build meaningful relationships with children and young people in care, ensuring their voices are central to all planning
- Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop care plans that promote stability, permanence, and positive outcomes
- Work in partnership with families, carers, and multi-agency professionals to safeguard and promote welfare
- Prepare high-quality reports for court and attend proceedings where required
- Contribute to permanence planning, including long-term fostering, adoption, or reunification
- Ensure statutory visits and reviews are completed in line with legislative requirements
- Manage risk effectively and make evidence-based decisions to support children’s safety and wellbeing
- Be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
- Have experience working with children in care or within statutory children’s services
- Demonstrate strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
- Be confident in court work and care planning processes
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships
- Be committed to continuous professional development and improving outcomes for children
