Location: Medway (Hybrid Working - 3 Days per Week in the Office)
Rate: £38 per hour Umbrella | £29.80 per hour PAYE
Contract: 3-Month Ongoing Contract
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Children & Young People with Disabilities (CYPD) Team in Medway.
The successful candidate will provide a high-quality and effective social work service, managing a caseload of disabled children, young people, and their families. You will work within statutory frameworks, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, guidance, and local policies while promoting positive outcomes and safeguarding vulnerable children.

You will work within statutory frameworks, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, guidance, and local policies while promoting positive outcomes and safeguarding vulnerable children.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of children, young people, and families.
- Undertake assessments, care planning, and direct intervention work.
- Complete child protection investigations and safeguarding work.
- Prepare high-quality reports for:
- Child Protection Conferences
- Strategy Meetings
- Children in Need Meetings
- Looked After Children Reviews
- Court Proceedings
- Work collaboratively with disabled children, young people, and their families using a strengths-based and relationship-focused approach.
- Participate in regular reflective supervision and ongoing professional development.
- Maintain knowledge of current legislation, research, and best practice guidance.
- Social Work England registration.
- Minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience, gained within a permanent Local Authority role.
- Demonstrable experience working with disabled children, young people, and their families.
- Experience undertaking direct work with disabled children and young people.
- Strong experience in child protection and court work.
- Experience of relationship-based and strengths-based practice.
- Knowledge of Signs of Safety, or willingness to undertake training.
