About the Role
Doncaster Children’s Services are seeking experienced and dedicated Social Workers to join a range of teams on fixed-term contracts of between 3 and 12 months.

This is an excellent opportunity for qualified Social Workers looking to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and families while gaining valuable experience across a range of Children’s Services teams.

We are looking for Social Workers with a strong background in statutory children's social care, including experience in safeguarding, child protection, children in need and/or looked after children.

Key Responsibilities
As a Children's Social Worker, you will be responsible for:

• Managing complex caseloads and delivering effective, child-centred interventions.
• Completing statutory assessments, risk assessments and Section 47 investigations.
• Developing and implementing plans that promote positive outcomes for children and families.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and multi-agency partners to safeguard and promote children's welfare.
• Preparing high-quality reports for meetings, reviews and court proceedings where required.
• Applying sound professional judgement to inform decision-making and risk management.
• Building effective relationships with children, families and professional networks.
• Ensuring practice is compliant with relevant legislation, policies and professional standards.

About You
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

• A recognised Social Work qualification.
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Proven experience working within Children's Services.
• Strong assessment, analytical and report-writing skills.
• Experience managing complex cases and making evidence-based decisions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A commitment to high-quality, child-focused social work practice.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multi-agency team.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
