Social Worker - Support 4 Families Team

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Support 4 Families Team in Cardiff on a temporary contract.

Location: Cardiff
Contract: 3 Months Initially (with a view to extension)
Hours: 37 Hours per Week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Pay Rate: £38.58 per hour Umbrella (£29.45 per hour PAYE)
Hybrid Working: 2-3 Days Working from Home per Week

The Support 4 Families Team plays a key role in ensuring families receive the right support at the right time. As part of Cardiff's commitment to strengthening early intervention and prevention services, you will work closely with families to help them access appropriate support and prevent the need for statutory social work intervention wherever possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out proportionate assessments of children, young people and families.
• Develop and implement person-centred family plans focused on positive outcomes.
• Manage a caseload effectively while working collaboratively with partner agencies.
• Identify support needs and coordinate appropriate services and interventions.
• Deliver direct interventions and practical support to families.
• Use initiative, flexibility and creativity to improve outcomes for children and families.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and procedures.

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Care Wales registration.
• Experience working with children, young people and families.
• Strong assessment, planning and case management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
