Specialty Grade Doctor – ADHD Service (Remote)

Location: Fully Remote (UK)
Salary: £70,000 – £75,000 per annum (pro-rata)
Minimum Contract: 20 hours per week
Working Pattern: Flexible, Monday – Sunday

We are seeking a Specialty Grade Doctor to join a growing virtual ADHD service delivering high-quality assessments and treatment for adults. This is an excellent opportunity to work remotely within a supportive multi-disciplinary team, providing evidence-based ADHD care while contributing to the development of an expanding service.

The role offers flexible working, strong clinical support, and clear career progression, with opportunities to become involved in leadership and service development as the organisation continues to grow.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive adult ADHD assessments and reassessments

  • Provide medication reviews, titration, and follow-up consultations

  • Prescribe and manage ADHD medications within scope of practice

  • Deliver psychoeducation and non-pharmacological support

  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary clinical team

  • Maintain accurate and high-quality clinical records

  • Develop individualised treatment plans with service users

  • Identify and respond to clinical risks or urgent situations


Core Duties
  • Assess and diagnose ADHD in adults, considering co-morbidities and risk factors

  • Monitor treatment progress and manage medication side effects

  • Conduct physical health observations relevant to medication treatment

  • Provide post-diagnostic support and ongoing care

  • Build therapeutic relationships with service users and families

  • Record clinical information using electronic clinical systems

  • Support continuous improvement and development of the service


Appointment Structure (Virtual) ADHD Appointments

  • Assessment A – 90 minutes

  • Assessment B – 90 minutes

  • Titration initiation – 45 minutes

  • Follow-up reviews – 30 minutes


Clinical Systems
  • EMIS – Clinical records

  • Hero Health – Video consultations and patient communication

  • Heidi – AI-assisted transcription


Requirements
  • GMC registered doctor (MBBS / MBChB / MBChC or equivalent)

  • Minimum 6 months experience working in ADHD services

  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams

  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

Candidates who have completed UKAAN or relevant CPD training and can demonstrate transferable experience may also be considered, provided they demonstrate a high standard of communication and clinical competence.
