A client within the Public Sector based in Lincolnshire is currently recruiting for an Strategic Lead Traffic and Transport to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a traffic and transport environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to oversee the strategic planning, development, and implementation of all traffic and transport initiatives across the network. You will lead on the development of the Local Transport Plan strategy, and securing investment for the county to achieve outcomes in line with the Council plan.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver street works, traffic, road safety, and transport functions.
• Provide leadership to ensure a community-focused approach, improving elected member and community satisfaction.
• Respond to complex traffic and transport issues and provide expert guidance within budgetary, legislative, and best practice constraints.
• Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders to deliver desired outcomes and value for money.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to support net zero and sustainable transport initiatives.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• Level 6 qualification (or equivalent experience) in a technical or transport-related subject.
• Significant experience within a Local Transport Authority or similar setting.
• Proven track record of providing strategic leadership and direction.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Experience in developing transport strategies and business cases to secure investment.
• Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and team leadership abilities.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £425 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £350 per hour PAYE).
