Pay: £13.45 PAYE per hour | £17.39 Umbrella per hour (ex Holiday)
Service Care Solutions are recruiting Cleansing Operatives to support Street Scene services across Sheffield.
The role involves maintaining clean, safe and presentable public spaces across the city, working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Duties
The service operates between 06:00 and 20:00, Monday to Sunday, with flexibility required depending on operational needs.

The role involves maintaining clean, safe and presentable public spaces across the city, working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Duties
- Carry out street and environmental cleansing across allocated areas.
- Sweep, clean and maintain streets, pathways and public spaces.
- Remove litter, waste and debris and empty litter bins.
- Use cleaning equipment, hand tools and machinery safely.
- Report fly-tipping, graffiti, damage, hazards and other issues.
- Follow Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Work to a high standard while meeting cleansing schedules.
- Liaise professionally with supervisors, colleagues and members of the public.
- Complete basic records and timesheets as required.
- Wear appropriate PPE and follow all relevant procedures.
- Previous experience in street cleansing, cleaning, waste, grounds maintenance or a similar environment is desirable.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, hardworking and flexible.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to follow instructions and work with limited supervision.
